Heesung and Jiwon are married and they have a daughter. Jiwon is a detective and is investigating a case on a boy named Inseo, who got into an accident, and pointed his father as the culprit.

A murder case similar to the Yeonju City serial murder case happens. The victims thumbnail is missing. Something seems off about the case and Jiwon tries to solve it.

Jiwon feels somethings off when she saw Heesung coming home with a raincoat on in the middle of the night. Jiwon gets assigned another murder case, surveillance footage shows that the victim got killed by a man in a raincoat.

Heesung gets baffled to become the prime suspect of Hoesin-dong Chinese restaurant murder case. Only Heesung and Moojin know that someone else is copying Hyunsu to pin the murder case on him.

Jiwon spots a watch strap that is engraved with Heesungs initial at the scene and is in shock. And the owner of the inn calls the police to report that a taxi driver is beating up a passenger.

Heesung was brought to an emergency room unconscious. Luckily, he wakes up but Jiwon heard something unexpected about the witness. Moojin tries to talk to the witness to get to the bottom of the story.

Jiwon cant clear up her doubts about Heesung, so she triggers him with the recording of Hyunsus voice and asks him to go to Minseoks workshop. Haesu meets up with Moojin.

Jiwon follows the path of Hee-sung to check the relationship between him and Yeonjoos murder case Hee-sung, who is also looking for the truth behind the case finally meets his sister after 18 years.

Hee-sung, Jiwon, Hae-soo, and Moojin face each other. While Hee-sung and Jiwon still lie about everything, they are both still agreed to find the suspect of the case together.

Jiwon cant seem to pin down her feelings for Heesung. Homicide Investigation Team is at on standstill as the key person to the case is in a coma. Heesung decides to take the risk to support Jiwon.

To protect Heesung, Jiwon chooses to do what she shouldnt do as a police officer. Heesung is after Yeom Sangcheols gang to catch the accomplice.

Hae-soo hears from Moojin that Jiwon has been known who Hae-soo really was and storms off to the station to turn himself in. Jae-sub asks Hae-soo about the intent of murder, the Yeom Sang-cheols whereabouts, and the accomplice.

Jiwon and Hyunsoo are caught in a trap that Heesung has set. While the lights went out, Heesung takes the chance to escape the house and runs off.

As the detectives watched Hyunsoo pretends to threaten Jiwon through the surveillance camera, they run to Hyunsoos workshop but Hyunsoo and Jiwon disappear. Meanwhile, Woo-chul spills out the key clue to Man-woo, and Heesung plans a new scheme.

Moojin runs excitedly to Hyunsoos house to see Hae-soo but he sees her on the floor unconscious. Heesung finally reveals himself to Hyunsoo.

Two shots of gun are fired and, soon after, Hyunsoo collapses and is sent to the emergency room. 4 months later, Hyunsoo suffers from the aftereffect from the gunshot and tries to reconnect with Jiwon.
